5 Subtle Signs You're Being Called to Learn Reiki

It doesn’t always come as a loud voice.
The call to Reiki is often quiet.
A whisper. A flicker. A tug you can’t quite explain.
I've also had past students say that I just appeared on their for you page on Instagram or TikTok and they knew immediately when they found me that they were supposed to go through my program. That the Universe led them there.
I've also had students say that they just felt a loud calling in their mind and pulling in their spirit to become attuned and they decided not to question it.
Before I ever got attuned, I didn’t fully know what Reiki was. I just kept hearing the word. Randomly. In conversations, podcasts, places I didn’t expect. I'd have friends and even one of my functional medicine practitioners say, "you should be a Reiki practitioner."
I’d get this tingly feeling whenever someone mentioned it. Like my body knew something my mind hadn’t caught up to yet.

Looking back, the signs were there long before I said yes. Maybe you’re noticing them too.
Here are a few of the other subtle ways Reiki might be calling you in.
1. You’re craving a deeper connection to your own energy.
You’ve done the journaling. The therapy. The meditations. But something still feels missing—like there’s a layer of yourself you haven’t touched yet. Reiki calls in people who are ready to remember their own power. Not just intellectually, but somatically. Energetically. Through the body.
You might not know exactly why you’re drawn to it—but you feel it. And that’s the beginning.
2. You’re highly sensitive… and starting to see it as a gift.
Maybe you’ve always picked up on people’s moods, or you get overwhelmed in crowds, or you’ve been told you’re “too much” or “too emotional.” At some point, it felt like a burden. But now, you’re realizing your sensitivity might actually be a kind of superpower.
Reiki has a way of helping sensitive women come home to themselves. To work with their energy instead of absorbing everything around them. If this is you… Reiki might be the grounding tool you didn’t know you needed.
3. You feel called to be of service—but your own healing still feels front and center.
Here’s something I always say: You don’t have to be fully healed to be a healer.
In fact, the best practitioners are the ones who are devoted to their own growth.
If you’ve felt a quiet nudge to share your light with others, but also know your own body and spirit are still unraveling, softening, integrating—Reiki meets you right there.
The program I built and guide called OPEN was built for this exact season of life. Where your healing isn’t separate from your service. It’s part of the path.
4. You’ve had a spiritual awakening… and you’re not sure what to do with it.
You’re seeing the world differently now. Your intuition is louder. You’re noticing synchronicities. Your old routines aren’t working anymore. But you don’t quite have a practice to hold it all.
Reiki gives structure to your spirituality. It’s not dogmatic or rigid. It just helps you move energy through your body, through your hands, through your life—so you can live in alignment with this new version of you (and the versions of you that will continue to unfold).
5. You keep finding your way back to Reiki. Over and over again.
You’ve looked at a few trainings. Maybe even bookmarked one.
You’ve been curious to try a Reiki session or maybe you've already had sessions that cracked something open.
You’ve wondered what it would be like to learn it, but always talked yourself out of it.
If Reiki keeps coming back into your awareness… it’s not a coincidence. Some things won’t leave you alone because they’re meant for you. It’s not pressure. It’s just presence. A gentle invitation that waits for your yes.
No matter how Reiki is calling to you, if you're feeling the pull...
Then trust that. You don’t have to be ready. Or perfect. Or fully healed. You just have to be willing.
This is exactly what I created OPEN: Reiki I & II Certification and Attunement for—a sacred space where you’re allowed to learn at your own pace, feel everything, and begin a lifelong relationship with energy, intuition, and trust.
It’s not about becoming someone new. It’s about remembering who you already are.
Love,
Nikki xoxo
